Probably a long shot giving how dead the community is, but does anyone know of any places that repair dishwashers, aren't rubbish, and take credit cards?

Our washing up is about to stage a revolution and attempt to take over the house.

So I know that this community is a bit dead but I thought I would give this a try, I'm looking for a photo booth in Dunfermline so I can get photos done for my bus pass to college.  Any idea where about there would be one?

I tried in the Kingsgate yesterday, I swore I saw one there the last time I was in, but nada.

Oh and a bit about myself - I'm Jules, I live at Rat Mansion in Rosyth with my wonderful partner and our 26 (smelly) babies.  I love fife, I've always wanted to moved here so jumped at the chance when we saw something to buy, it's so peaceful compared to the humdrum of Edinburgh.

Oh and has anyone been to the animal park up by Glenrothes?  Is it any good?  I can't remember the name of it just now, they were at the Big Tent Festival a couple of months ago and have been meaning to go up and have a looksie.

Sep. 1st, 2005 @ 08:19 am well priced vets?
About this Entry
I have a cat that adopted us, semi wild, outdoor living cat. Who appears to be rather sick. Sneezing and coughing a bit and sounding awfully croaky the last 3 days.

problem number 1: She doesn't do indoors, or being picked up or captured. Even if it is for her own good.

problem number 2: I am a skint student

problem number 3: My Mum is in hospital, and is really far too unwell for me to be bothering her with this, so can't help out on the finances, or suggestions of what to do.

Does anyone know of a good vet in the Fife area, who'd even do some kind of payment plan? I could spread the cost of whatever she might need sorted on a weekly or monthly basis. I just think my bank manager will have a fit if I try and pay vets bills up front. Oh, they also need to be able to come to me, or give me extra strong sedatives so I can drug her and put her in a cat carrier. Or even a vet that wouldn't mind me calling them up to ask. Maybe she just has a cat cold, and maybe that's no big deal, but none of my other cats have ever had this, and it seems strange that she has human cold sypmtoms in a warmer season.

If not a vet, if anyone knows of a charity, or cat shelter, or something/someone that might also be able to help. Hell, if have a book on looking after cats and want to read me a paragraph that'd certainly be a help.

Apologies for the garbled nature of this message. Not much sleep has been had here, can you tell? :)

Many thanks in advance.

About this Entry
I've started a Selling journal called studentsales where I'm selling loads of items that students who are just moving into their flats may need/want, or students coming to the UK from abroad would find useful. All items were used for less than a week during the St.Andrews Championship OPEN in a hotel. The hotel ownes is moving away and has left me in charge of selling all the hotel's things.

I'm stocking new items such as:

mobile phones
coffee makers
desk lamps
picture frames
children's toys
laptop cases

And in most cases there are more than one available! EVERYTHING MUST GO, No matter what, which means AFFORDABLE and seriously cheap prices!
Everything is located in St.andrews fife, but you can either pick items up, request them to be delivered, or pay for postage!

Please have a look and grab yourself a bargain!!!

About this Entry
Can anyone recommend anywhere in St.Andrews/Fife that offers an intensive driving lessons course?

Long story short, my Mum is quite seriously ill, and needs an operation very soon, in Dunfermline. She won't be able to drive for many many weeks, but will need to be ferried to the doctors and etc etc, and I'll be deferring uni for a semester to take care of her. But I can't drive. And that's fairly useless. And I refuse to take my mother to a major operation on the bus, she can't very well come home from one on the bus either. We're also the kind of people who don't really like relying on friends to ferry us about.

If you know of anywhere that'd be able to get me up to speed and pretty gosh darned quickly, and a wee estimate of the price (which to be honest, isn't very important right now), I'd be very, very grateful.

This will be crossposted here and there. Sorry if you have to see it multiple times.

Complete stab in the dark, but does anyone know what parking at the Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline is like?

I know parking at the Victoria in Kirkaldy is abysmal, so i was wondering how the QM compared.

My Mum has quite an important appointment there tomorrow and we're not sure what time we should leave, to allow for trying to find a parking space.

If anyone has any experience with going there (particularly for an appointment at lunchtime), I'd be most grateful.
Jun. 24th, 2005 @ 10:15 am Speed bumps
About this Entry
As I travelled back from Edinburgh to St Andrews earlier this week, I drove through Windygates and Kennoway for a change (instead of my usual Leven/Lundin Links route), and it was full of speed bumps. Particularly nasty speed bumps. I guess its a while since I drove that way - don't know when they appeared - but I'll be avoiding that road in the future.
